When Uber costs less
For a short trip across town, with a single passenger and no fixed arrival time, rideshare is frequently the lowest fare. If you are flexible on timing and comfortable with the vehicle you are assigned, it is a reasonable choice.
When a chauffeur is the better value
The comparison changes when the trip has requirements attached to it.
- Fixed price. Rideshare fares can move with demand, particularly on game days, during concerts, in bad weather and around holiday travel. A chauffeur price is confirmed before the ride and does not change.
- Early and late hours. Prince Limousines operates 24/7 with no after-hours surcharge on direct bookings, and your car is reserved rather than requested.
- Airport timing. Your chauffeur tracks your flight in real time and adjusts to delays, so you are met when you land.
- Groups. One Sprinter or Transit van can replace several rideshare cars, and everyone arrives together.
- A chosen vehicle. You select the class, rather than accepting whichever car accepts the request.

Black car or limousine: what is the difference?
Traditionally, “limousine” referred to a stretch limo. Today, it more often means any chauffeured luxury vehicle. Prince Limousines does not operate stretch limousines. We provide late-model luxury sedans, premium SUVs, and Mercedes Sprinter vans.
